Wli Waterfalls & Afadja Mountain

The green Ghana most tourists never see.

2 daysmoderateAcross Ghana

The Volta Region offers a stunning contrast to the coast. Wli Waterfalls, at 143 metres, is the tallest waterfall in West Africa. The path to the falls leads through lush semi-deciduous forest, crossing nine wooden foot bridges over the Agumatsa River. Mount Afadja (880 m) is Ghana’s highest peak — the summit offers splendid views of the green Voltarian landscape. Hundreds of bats live in the rocks along the waterfall. In the evening, explore village life near the border with Togo.
